Microsoft DFS to Box Cloud Storage - HumTech migration journey for Departmental Storage

This session is about migrating Humanities Department shared storage to Box Cloud, specifically a migration of academic department users from Microsoft DFS (Distributed File Services) to Box Cloud.

This migration is an infrastructure adaptation of users, whom were formerly in an office LAN, but now due to covid must be able to access storage remotely from anywhere. We'll like to demo our migration strategy and technical setup so other can also move off of Microsoft DFS and move into cloud based storage at ucla.Box.com.

We'll share our slides and recommendations at the end of the presentation. Hopefully this will help other groups on campus to move to a cloud based storage service which is much more functional and ubiquitous.
