SeedMeLab is a set of modular building blocks built for creating data management and data sharing cloud. It enables research teams to effectively manage, share, search, visualize, and present their data on the Web using an access-controlled, branded, and customizable cloud that the team owns and controls. SeedMeLab also supports formatted annotations, custom metadata extensions, lightweight visualizations, and threaded comments on any file/folder, and provides REST interface with corresponding clients to automate data movement and integration with other applications. The software is open source and available as an extension to the popular Drupal content management system and also a available as a subscription service from the San Diego Supercomputer Center at UCSD.
This talk will discuss motivation, features, use cases along with a live interactive demonstration of SeedMeLab.
