Session Host/Speaker(s)

In collaboration with the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is developing an application to teach veterinary anatomy in a virtual reality setting. Combined with detailed 3D scans of the two schools' extensive collections of anatomical specimens, this tool gives us a way to address the needs of remote teaching without sacrificing instructional quality.

This session will provide an overview of the current state of the tool and its development process, as well as a brief look at the 3D scanning process used to move our anatomical specimens into virtual reality.
