Instructional Designer/Digital Learning Specialist
Digital Learning Services
I began at UC Berkeley in 2017 and have worn many hats in my role as an instructional designer. I love discovering new tools and how we can use them in our courses to improve the learning experience and support instructors. I have been a part of the edTech/online education world since 2013, where I began as a curriculum editor for an edTech startup. Initially, I thought this would only be an editing job. But then I learned about instructional design and realized I had been practicing instructional design in my previous career in banking. I also got curious about UX and moved into a position where I worked with a team of developers to improve the learning experience of a custom-made LMS (in addition to managing the already developed online course curriculum). I love all things art & writing, design, UX, and front end development. In my off work hours, I teach online yoga, rescue cats, write, paint, take photos, and spend time outside as much as possible. I have an MFA in Writing from CCA, an undergraduate degree from UCSD in Visual Arts Media, and an HCI cert from UCSD. I am currently working on a Front End Development cert, and I am a Sagittarius.
