Erik is a software engineer, technical consultant, and architect with over 18 years of experience. He specializes in open-source highly scalable enterprise applications, including CMS frameworks Drupal and WordPress and JavaScript frameworks React and React-Native. He thrives by creating collaborative environments that use agile Kanban, leading to the delivery of countless projects for some of the world's most ambitious global brands.
He is a hands-on information architect and technology strategist with 18 years of experience building complex open-source websites, overseeing teams consisting of back-end and front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and Q/A testers.
His focus currently is on Drupal 8 and headless websites and mobile applications using React frameworks. He thrives on mission-critical challenges that take advantage of prebuilt and custom solutions such as Drupal Commerce, regionalization, personalization, multi-lingual site requirements, and custom-built community distributions.
His strong belief in supporting and contributing to the open-source community has lead to volunteering at local Drupal groups in Berkeley and San Francisco. He is also responsible for starting and leading meetups to educate marketers in Conversational Marketing.
His experience spans diverse verticals such as aerospace, hospitality, higher-ed, non-profits, tech, government (Department of Defense, Department of Energy). Working with Fortune 100 companies as well as smaller organizations has given him a unique macro and micro view of how to approach projects.
